Product Description:
This is an oral tablet containing praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate, and febantel. This tablet is active against tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), ascarids (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis).Dosage and Administration: Drontal comes in two tablet sizes. One tablet is for smaller dogs, 2-25 lbs. and the other is for dogs over 26 lbs. Depending on the dog’s weight, different combinations of each tablet size need to be given. For example, a dog weighing 10 lbs. should receive 1.5 tablets of the smaller size. The proper weight of the pet and Drontal dose should be determined by a veterinarian before administration. One treatment is generally sufficient; however, re-infection often occurs. If this is the case, re-treatment is required.
Precautions and Side Effects: This product should NOT be used in pregnant or breeding animals. DO NOT use in puppies less than 3 weeks old or in animals weighing less than 2 lbs.
Packaging: Drontal comes in two tablet sizes. One size for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs.
Storage: Store this product at room temperature.
