Footvax
® 10 Strain

Product Description: This is a vaccine used to prevent footrot in sheep caused by Bacteroides nodosus.

Dosage and Administration: Administer 1 mL subcutaneously (SQ) in the front half of the neck. This should be followed by a second 1 mL injection no sooner than 6 weeks but no later than 6 months after the first injection. Revaccination is recommended bi-annually or at any time there is an increased chance for infection. Because this product is very thick, it should be shaken well before use and a 16-18 gauge needle is often necessary to administer the vaccine. During times of cold weather, the vaccine may need to be immersed in a lukewarm water bath to help the vaccine flow more readily.

Not approved for use in goats. Refer to extra-label drug use.

Packaging: This product comes in 50 and 100 dose bottles.

Precautions and Side Effects: Allergic reactions are a possibility. Extreme caution should be used when handling this product. Severe local tissue reactions can occur if it is accidentally injected into a human. If accidental injection does occur, seek medical attention immediately.
