Product Description: This is a combination antibiotic which provides effective antibacterial activity against gram positive bacteria (Pasteurella, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.).

Indications for Use: This antibiotic is for use in the treatment of pneumonia, equine strangles, and other bacterial infections.

Dosage and Administration: Give 2 mL, IM, per 150 lbs. of body weight, once a day. Treatment should be repeated in 48 hours. Shake well before using.

Duration of Treatment: If no improvement is noted following the second treatment, additional professional advice should be sought.

Packaging: This product comes in 100 and 250 mL bottles.

Precautions and Side Effects: The injection should be given deep into muscle tissue. Careful attention should be given to ensure the needle is not in a blood vessel. To accomplish this, after the needle is completely inserted, the plunger on the syringe should be pulled back creating negative pressure. If any blood is noted in the hub of the needle or syringe, the needle should be completely removed from the animal and the whole process repeated.

*Allergic reactions are very possible when using this drug. Two signs of problems are hives and breathing difficulty. If any of these signs occur, epinephrine should be given immediately at a dose of 1 mL per 100 lbs., injected IM.  

Once an animal has had a reaction to penicillin DO NOT ADMINISTER penicillin or ampicillin again for any reason.

Storage and Shelf Life: This product must be refrigerated prior to use.

Meat Withholding: Not for use in horses intended for food.
