Product Description:
This is a killed virus vaccine for use in the prevention of respiratory diseases and abortions caused by the Equine Herpesvirus. This vaccine can be used in pregnant mares.Dosage and Administration: Give a 2 mL dose, IM. A booster is also recommended 3 weeks after the first dose. Unbred mares that are in contact with pregnant mares should receive the same vaccination program as the pregnant mares. See page A905 for specific vaccination schedules for adults, foals, and pregnant mares. Mild exercise for a week following injection is recommended to promote absorption.
Packaging: This product comes in a box of 12 or 25, 2 mL, prefilled syringes, or 10 doses in a 20 mL bottle.
Precautions and Side Effects: Swelling or pain at the injection site may occur. Allergic reactions are also a concern.
Storage and Shelf Life: This product must be refrigerated prior to use. Store Pneumabort K in the dark and avoid freezing.
