Dipping Navels

Betadine (7% tincture) should be placed in a container and replaced after dipping 4-5 navels. In these pictures, an empty 60 mL syringe case is being used. Using betadine in a spray bottle is another method of administration.

The entire umbilical cord and opening into the abdomen should be submerged in the betadine. This procedure should be repeated daily until the cord falls off.
